Cite a hash checker

Many software vendors nowadays will specify a hash value for their download. Cite will allow you to check that the application you have downloaded is an exact copy of the software vendors original file, regardless of where you download the file from. Software vendors can also use Cite to get the hash of their own application, for checking it is uploaded correctly and to supply their users with a hash.

Cite was originally created so that we could check that our Trekker application was uploaded correctly. It can be used to check that any upload or download is a correct copy of the original software created by the software vendor. It currently supports MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-2(256bit) hashes. Cite works on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 .

For more information view the Cite project page or the screenshots.
